WE HAVE 2 LOCATIONS:

In June 2007, we opened up our second location in the Saddle Rock community of Aurora.  We hope this will provide an added convenience to our students.  This new location is off of Smoky Hill Rd. and S.  Welcome

Affordable Driving School, LLC is family owned and operated. We have been teaching drivers’ education for over 14 years in Parker, Colorado. Our family has always been involved with teaching, whether it be academic, sports, or driving. We have always been excited about making a difference in the lives of others. Because of this, our mission here at Affordable Driving School, LLC is to provide students with the knowledge of defensive driving skills which will enable them to prevent collisions and traffic violations before they occur. We take our jobs seriously and always have safety as our top priority. We know that driving is a privilege and we all are responsible for being safe on our roads. We would like to encourage that safety with our program. We provide teenage driver’s education with 30 hours of classroom instruction and at least 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training.  We also provide private driving lessons for both teenagers and adults.  These lessons are done one-on-one with an instructor and are done in our vehicles.  Our instructors are both English and Spanish speaking.

Classroom Instruction

Our program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction done in 4 days. During this classroom instruction, the students will have interaction with knowledgeable teachers that encourage questions and discussion. The classroom is set up to accommodate different learning skills like lecture, discussion, visuals (movies, props, etc.), worksheets, and tests. We are able to provide many dynamic guest speakers to talk to the students, as well.* Among the guest speakers are an emergency room nurse, a firefighter, a police officer, and an insurance agent. All of the guest speakers provide valuable information and scenarios for the students.

Hands On Driving Training

After the classroom time is finished, the students are able to schedule the behind-the-wheel portion of the course.   We are able to provide one-on-one instruction to each of our students. These drives are done in our automobiles in two hour increments. We believe that two hours gives us enough time to take the student to different areas around the Denver metro area.

Accreditation

Affordable Driving School, LLC has been accredited by the state of Colorado to officially administer both the written learner’s permit test (included in each plan for our program) and the driver’s skills test which are necessary to obtaining a Colorado driver’s license.

NEW LAWS FOR TEEN DRIVERS IN EFFECT AS OF APRIL 23, 2007

As of April 23, 2007, new laws for teen drivers have gone in to effect.  The change states under Senate Rule 77 that a minor can begin the 30 hour classroom instruction as young as 14 years and 6 months.  However, the instruction permit cannot be issued until the person is 15 years of age and has completed the 30 hours of classroom instruction.  All students that take the 30 hour course work  must also have 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training with a driving school. It also states that any minor under the age of 18 years must complete the 50 hours driving time (10 hours at night), be at least 16 years of age and have held their permit for one full year before they can take the test to get their driver's license.
